Take just 5 minutes to stretch and it does more than release muscle tension and improve flexibility.

It can also benefit your vagus nerve, a key player in your nervous system. The vagus nerve connects your brain to vital organs and helps regulate your body’s “rest and digest” state.

Gentle stretching, especially when paired with deep breathing, can stimulate the vagus nerve, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving heart rate regulation.

These mindful movements help your body shift out of “fight or flight” mode, leaving you feeling calmer, refreshed, and ready to take on your day.
